Getting an error in Webi when selected this option "Only use servers belonging to the selected group"

 

When refreshing a Webi report using the option "Only use servers belonging to the selected group" for "Web Intelligence Process Settings", an error with error code FWM 01006 is shown.

Environment

• SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.0
• Web Intelligence

Reproducing the Issue

1. Login to Central Management Console (CMC).
2. Click on Folders.
3. Select the report that is to be refreshed.
4. Click on Default Settings --> Web Intelligence Process Settings and select the "Only use servers belonging to the selected group" option and select an existing server group.
5. Log onto BI Launchpad and view the Webi report that was set up to use an existing server group.
6. Refresh the report.

Cause

There was a problem with one or more of the servers in the "Server Group" (for example, the Webi Processing Server in that group doesn't exist).

Resolution

Change the "Web Intelligence Process Settings" so that the first available server is used by following these steps:

1. Login to Central Management Console (CMC).
2. Click on Folders.
3. Select the report that is to be refreshed.
4. Click on Default Settings --> Web Intelligence Process Settings and select the "Use the first available server" option.
5. Click "Save & Close".
